Hi, I'm Vicki the person behind The Cake Duet and who you deal with for all aspects of your order.

The Cake Duet is a part time home based custom cake, cupcake and cookie decorating business located in Mawson Lakes, South Australia.  I am fully registered and insured and a member of The Australian Cake Decorating Network.

So much love & time goes into creating and making a custom cakes and I ❤️ that I have a skill that brings happiness and creates memories for years to come.

I often get asked, why are custom cakes so special?

There are so many wonderful reasons as to why, but my first thought & questions is; Can you remember a cake you had for a b'day or event and the feeling it gave you?   I haven't met a person yet that doesn't instantly smile as the memory comes back.

A lot of mine growing up were from the famous Women's Weekly Cake book. I know my mum went to a lot of effort making cakes for us to make our b'days that little bit extra special.

The stories, the smiles & memories of living in Darwin and her having to ice cakes whilst the fridge door was open so it didn't melt are still talked about ha ha.
